Will Insurance Cover My Procedure?

Almost no medical insurances will cover the cost of LASIK. Some may offer nominal reductions.  However, The Laser Center of Central PA accepts various methods of payment that can help reduce your out of pocket expense. These options can be discussed at your complimentary consultation.

Credit Cards for Lasik

Many patients opt to pay for their procedure using a personal credit card. This may be a good option, especially if you have a card that carries a low interest rate, offers points or other rewards.

Flexible Spending and Health Saving Accounts

Many employers or insurance providers offer Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Spending Accounts, or Health Reimbursement Arrangements to help offset medical expenses. These accounts may allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for procedures like LASIK. Ask your employer or insurance provider about these programs.

We offer a 15% discount on our procedures for current or veteran members of our armed services. Please provide your military ID at your consultation so we may apply your savings.

Lasik and Your Taxes

LASIK may be tax deductible, depending on your filing status. Please consult your accountant. Also, many patients choose to use their tax refund to pay for LASIK — an investment that can last a lifetime!
